We were wondering what to do one Saturday. We wanted to be outdoors and enjoy the great weather the city has been giving us lately, but we wanted to do something different from a beach party, but still wanted to be near the water. So we decided to drive across the Golden Gate Bridge to Tiburon, a beautiful and quaint small town outside the city. An afternoon in Sam’s Anchor Cafe was the plan.
The place is amazing an has inside and outdoor seating, but with such views and nice weather, who wants to sit inside. Sea food is super fresh, drinks are excellent and the service is awesome. We recommend their jalapeño bloody mary’s or their hummingbirds, which were my favorite.
After a few drinks, neither of us was driving, so we took the ferry that’s right next door. $10 per person and sails super fast to towards their stop at Pier 39. The views from Alcatraz Island from the ferry are to die! Overall, great option for those who want to do something different and have a little “escape” from San Fran.
