‘Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations’ 2012 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Known as the “Oscars of the East Coast” or the “Oscars of fashion”, the Costume Institute Gala is a fashion event no one wants to miss. This year’s theme was ‘Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations’. While some stars did follow the theme, some decided to do their own thing. This is THE most fashionable red carpet night, with famous faces from the fashion industry, the music industry and the small and silver screen.

The trends this year were metallic dresses, like the ones Carey Mulligan and Karolina Kurkova wore; some others chose to wear a pop of bright color like Emily Blunt and January Jones, and dark lips were very popular, as seen on Lana del Rey, Jessica Alba, and Leighton Meester.

Everyone is talking about Beyoncé ‘s grand entrance in a lace and feather Givenchy, which I hated. And Marc Jacobs ‘ outfit choice, which is, undescribable… See for yourself!

These are my top best and worst dressed:
